Kevin’s most recent work in television includes appearances on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Survivor’s Remorse.’ He has also appeared in ‘Law & Order: SVU,’ ‘Detroit 187,’ ‘Strong Medicine,’ ‘Numb3rs’ and ‘ER.’

Throughout his career he has had a strong presence in film, including the cult classic ‘Paid in Full’ as Calvin, roles in ‘Being John Malkovich,’ ‘The Object of My Affection’ as Jennifer Aniston's love interest, ‘The Secret Lives of Dentists,’ ‘The Notorious Bettie Paige’ directed by Mary Harron, ‘Always Outnumbered’ with Laurence Fishburne and Cicely Tyson, ‘Jesus’s Son’ with Billy Crudup and ‘Pipe Dream’ with Mary Louise Parker and directed by John Walsh.

Although departing from time to time for film and television projects, Kevin has a special place in his heart for the theatre. Kevin has appeared on Broadway in roles such as Belize in Tony Kushner’s ‘Angels in America, Solomon Mantutu in Neil Simon’s ‘45 Seconds from Broadway,’ Davey Battle in Richard Greenberg's ‘Take Me Out’ and The Voice in ‘Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk’ directed by George C. Wolfe.

Off-Broadway, in 2009, Kevin was awarded the Obie Award for Sustained Excellence of Performance. Some favorite roles he originated or played include Cephus in the Signature Theatre Company's revival of ‘Home’ by Samm-Art Williams, ‘Stick Fly’ at the McCarter Theatre, ‘Hamlet’ at Shakespeare in the Park and Canewell in the Signature Theatre's production of ‘Seven Guitars’ by August Wilson. Kevin originated the role of George in ‘Stop Kiss’ by Diana Son, which featured Sandra Oh. Later, Diana again paired Sandra and Kevin in ‘Satellites’ at the Public Theatre. He also enjoyed working in Susan-Lori Parks' early exploration of ‘When Father Comes From the War.’

In the last few years, Kevin has also enjoyed time onstage in Los Angeles. He played Walter Lee in the Ebony Repertory Theatre's production of ‘A Raisin in the Sun.’ This production later moved to the Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Playhouse. He also played Guy in Pasadena Playhouse's ‘Blues for an Alabama Sky’ and Leroy/Herb in ‘By the Way, Meet Vera Stark.’
